白兎海岸・白兎海水浴場
古事記に記されている「因幡の白兎」の神話は、大国主命（だいこくさま）が毛皮をはがされた「しろうさぎ」と出会う所から始まります。
海は透明度が高く、海岸には岩礁があるこの海岸は白い砂浜が弓なりに連なっており、日本の渚百選にも選定されているとても美しい海岸です。
The myth of the “Inaba no Shirousagi” recorded in the Kojiki begins when ōkuninushimikoto (dai koku sama) meets a white rabbit whose fur has been stripped.The sea is highly transparent, and this coastline with rocky reefs is a very beautiful coast with white sandy beaches that form a bow.
沖合80ｍには淤岐（おき）ノ島が浮かび。岬と島の間に連なる飛び石状に並んでいる岩は、神話の中で白兎が渡ったワニの背に見立てられたものです
”Oki-no-shima” Island floats 80 meters offshore. The rocks that line up like stepping stones between the cape and the island are likened to the back of the crocodile that the white rabbit crossed in the myth.

古事記の中で「白兎」が傷口を洗われた池。白兎神社の参道に見えます。
いかなる時も水位の増減がないとされており「不増不減の池」 とも呼ばれています。

白兎海岸へは横断歩道を渡り直ぐ。広い無料駐車場と白兎にちなんだお土産・特産物を販売。2階は地元海鮮活魚いけす料理レストランあり。

・鳥取ICから約15分
・佐用JCTから約1時間30分。
JR鳥取駅から日ノ丸バス｢鹿野行き｣ 約40分、白兎神社前下車すぐ

・About 1 hour and 30 minutes from Sayo JCT.
About 40 minutes from JR Tottori Station on the Hinomaru Bus bound for ”Shikano”, get off at “Hakuto Jinja-mae” bus stop.
